Gardens are good for the body, mind, and spirit. The belief that gardens are beneficial for patients in health care environments is more than one thousand years old.

NICU Update

For many of our tiniest patients, the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) in the Family Birth Center at Mercy Hospital Southwest is where these babies will spend the first 100 days of their life. This highly specialized unit must provide the highest level of care, as well as meet the needs of parents who spend countless hours in the NICU.

Sister Phyllis Hughes Grant Program

This special endowment was created in order to provide funds to Kern County nonprofits that administer programs that meet identified community needs, and whose missions are consistent with that of Mercy Hospital.
