Gathering of the Friends

A “Gathering of Friends” is a special evening where supporters of the Hospital gather to enjoy fellowship with others who share a common passion – furthering the mission of the Sisters of Mercy and Mercy Hospitals of Bakersfield. Included in this group are donors, members of the Catherine McAuley Society, William Howell Century Club, Legacy Circle, key stakeholders and executive medical staff. The concept builds on the legacy of Jim Burke when he established the Friends of Mercy Foundation in 1988, asserting that the success of the Foundation lies not in solely raising funds, but in our capacity to build Friends.
