The Friends of Mercy Foundation has designed a women's philanthropic group, the Catherine McAuley Society (CMS), to give women an opportunity to support the mission of Mercy through giving. Members seek to follow in the footsteps of Catherine McAuley, foundress of the Sisters of Mercy, who used her inheritance to help the poor in 19th century Ireland.
Each member contributes $1,000 per year to fund designated Mercy Hospital programs and/or services. For an overview of CMS activities, please click here. (link to new story.)
